Vicodin Addiction

A Vicodin addiction can cause severe physical, mental and social problems.  Vicodin, the brand name for the combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone, is one of the most widely prescribed pain relievers. It is also one of the most abused. Many people with chronic pain are legitimately prescribed Vicodin, but misuse the drug in an attempt to self-medicate.

Once a person starts to use the drug excessively, a Vicodin addiction can result, meaning that the person is physically dependent on the drug. They may experience any or all of the following:
