Predatory Drugs – Don't Become a Victim
Predatory drugs can be added to and undetected in any drink - alcoholic, non-alcoholic, even water. Women and teenage girls are especially vulnerable to becoming victims of predatory drugs. To reduce your risk, follow these tips:
- Never drink alcohol or other drugs at parties, clubs or other social gatherings. Keep your judgment clear and intact.
- At nightclubs and bars, only accept drinks from the waiter, waitress or bartender.
- Never accept an open drink from someone you do not know or trust well.
- Never put your drink down and leave it unattended, not even for a moment.
- When out with a group of friends, look out for each other.
Predatory Drugs
Predatory drugs have earned that moniker due to the fact that they are used to facilitate crimes such as sexual assaults and robberies. They are frequently referred to as "date rape" drugs.
Some common types of predatory drugs are Rohypnol, GHB, Ketamine and ecstasy. With effects including sedation, loss of consciousness, amnesia, hallucinations and loss of inhibitions, it is easy to see how and why these drugs could be used for sinister purposes. The drugs render the victims almost completely unable to fight back and often they will have no memory of what took place.
Predatory drugs are colorless, odorless and tasteless, making them virtually undetectable in beverages. A criminal will usually slip a drug into a drink. The victim will unknowingly consume the drug in the drink and become incapacitated leaving themselves open to sexual assault and robbery.

TESTIMONIALS
I know you will never believe it but it has been ten and a half months since I finished treatment and am still in recovery. I know you will say it may be more of a miracle that I finished rehab being that I was about as resistant a patient can be, but I am making it one day at a time. Special thanks to Robert.
-- Terrance G, Morristown, New Jersey
This is to my therapist Bobby, who never gave up on me. I could never have made it through rehab without your patience. You taught me that I am worth it.
-- Bryan, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
My life was a shambles, my husband wanted a divorce and my children wouldn't speak with me. I felt hopeless until we all got together for family treatment. While we all have some hills to climb, my recovery is solid. Who would have thought, 476 days sober. Love to all.
-- Patti P, Atlanta, Georgia
You guys were right when you told me to get right into meetings. They have kept me clean and sober and I have made a lot of good friends. Thanks for bringing meetings into rehab.
-- Dean W, Dallas Texas
