Dr. Martin Zfaz
Medical Director
Dr. Martin Zfaz is the Medical Director at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery. Involved in the field of addiction treatment for the last 22 years, Dr. Zfaz is certified by the American Medical Society on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies, is a member of the National Council on Alcoholism , as well as, International Council of Alcoholism and Addiction Medicine. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Zfaz has also been a preferred addiction treatment provider for the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and the Commissioner of Baseball’s Assistance Team.
Dr. Raul Soto-Acosta
Psychiatrist
Dr. Acosta completed his psychiatric residency at Albert Einstein's College of Medicine in 1993. A board certified psychiatrist and a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Acosta provides the patients at Stepping Stone with any psychiatric support they may require. Dr. Acosta has been a member of the Stepping Stone family for the last three years.
Jim Matney, L.M.H.C., C.A.P.
Staff Development and Compliance Director
Jim Matney is Stepping Stone Center's Staff Development and Compliance Director. Mr. Matney, who has been working in the field of addiction treatment for the past 15 years, is a certified addiction professional and licensed mental health counselor. Jim has been with the Stepping Stone family since its inception.
Lynn Powell, LCSW
Clinical Director
Lynn Powell is Stepping Stone Center's Clinical Director and has been in the field of addiction and mental health counseling for the last 25 years. With a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Master's in mental health counseling, Lynn brings a wonderful blend of experience to the Stepping Stone program. Lynn has been with Stepping Stone Center for the last four years, receiving numerous accommodations, which resulted in her promotion from primary therapist to her current role as Clinical Director.
Patsy Paulk, MA, L.M.H.C
Program Director
Patsy Paulk, MA, L.M.H.C, recieved BA in Sociology from Stetson University, and Masters of Arts degree in Community Mental Haelth, from Rollins College. Became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2000. Has worked worked in Chemical Dependancy since 1996.
Melissa Ace, MSN, RN
Director of Nursing
Melissa Ace, MSN, RN obtained her BS in Nursing from the University of Florida in 2003, and her Master of Science from University of Florida in 2007. She is a member of the Northeast Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practioners and a member of Signa Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
Jan Bartolina
Aftercare Director
Jan has been a fantastic addition to the Stepping Stone staff. As our aftercare and alumni director, Jan has become the focal point for all of our aftercare activities. Ehthusiastic and passionate about our patients recovery, we are proud to have her as a member of the Stepping Stone Center for Recovery's family. |
