At Stepping Stone, we understand that the family must be an integral part of the recovery process.  Substance abuse is a family affair, affecting the spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members of the addicted person.

As part of our family addiction support services, we provide a powerful four day addiction treatment experience where a family therapist works with family members.  In our family addiction support program we explore issues surrounding codependency, anger, trust, resentment and enabling.  In a safe, monitored and objective environment, family members are given an opportunity to discuss feelings in an effort to heal past hurts and rebuild relationships.

Stepping Stone strives to give all our patients as many recovery tools as they need to achieve long-term abstinence from drugs or alcohol. Prior to discharge from our treatment center, we provide family members with guidance on how to support the aftercare experience.  We'll give you information on how to help your loved one stay sober, find a job, deal with change, as well as how to manage your own feelings.  We want the transition from inpatient treatment to home to be as seamless as possible for both the patient and his or her family members.
