Patients are admitted to our drug addiction rehab seven days a week, 24 hours a day. With every admission we have the responsibility to evaluate each individual in order to assess their individual needs. Dual diagnosis is the co-existence of an addiction and a psychiatric disorder; such as depression and drug addiction or an eating disorder and psychiatric disorder.

At Stepping Stone, we have a board certified psychiatrist who is also trained in addiction medicine. Accompanying our psychiatrist is a psychiatric A.R.N.P. and clinicians with a wealth of experience in the field of dual disorder treatment. The philosophy at Stepping Stone is to treat both disorders concurrently. If one disorder is left untreated the risk for relapse is almost one hundred percent. The addiction recovery program's discharge plan, formulated over the duration of the program, provides each patient with guidance and resources as well as goals and objectives to meet in an effort to keep the individual focused on their recovery.
