Ecstasy Addiction

The drug ecstasy has gained popularity as being the drug of choice at "raves," nightclubs and concerts. People who have an ecstasy addiction become addicted to the drug's "rush" and hallucinogenic effects. These effects can last up to six hours, hours in which the person may not feel the need to sleep, eat or drink, often resulting in serious dehydration and heatstroke.  Users can also experience increases in heart rate and blood pressure, nausea, and chills.
